NATASHA COCKBURN

My obsession with horses began at 3yrs old. I started riding lessons at a local riding school in Tasmania at 7yrs old. I managed to convince my parents to buy me a pony when I was about 12yrs old. As most horse mad kids go I attended Pony Club and started eventing and continued up until I finished school competing up to Novice/Intermediate. I moved to South Australia in 1997 to go to Roseworthy College where I completed a Diploma of Horse Husbandry and Management. I then worked in the industry for a few years before meeting my Husband Troy. We got married in 2003 and had our son Sebastian in 2006. I officially became an Equestrian Australia Qualified coach in 2005.

We started Oakwood at our first property at Dawesley, but quickly outgrew the small acerage. We bought our current property in 2010. Since 2006 my main focus has been dressage, and have competed up to FEI level with my TB Country Cruizin.
